How to pray the rosary
Location of Phoenix Civic Plaza, Hall B, Phoenix, Az

The Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is a 4 ft. x 6 ft. exact photographic replica of the original miraculous image in Mexico.  It is a gift from the Bishops of Mexico to the Catholics of the United States for the purpose of traveling to end abortion and the culture of death, to melt hearts and bring about conversions.

Be sure to take this opportunity to pay honor to Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of our Diocese.  We need her  powerful intercession. more.

Many tears have appeared on images of our Lady of Guadalupe--tears of water, oil, and blood.  Pope John Paul II said, "...they testify to the presence of the Mother in the Church and in the world.  A mother weeps when she sees her children threatened by evil, be it spiritual or physical.

"O Blessed Rosary of Mary, sweet chain which unites us to God, bond of love which unites us to the angels, tower of salvation against the assaults of Hell, safe port in our universal shipwreck, we will never abandon you.

You will be our comfort in the hour of death: yours our final kiss as life ebbs away. And the last word from our lips will be your sweet name.

The Blessing Procession

BLESSING PROCESSION includes: Families with roses, National Catholic Organizations, Religious Education Programs, Confirmation Classes, Youth Groups, Diocesan Organizations, Prayer Groups, and Ethnic Groups.  All the organizations throughout the diocese are invited to be represented in the Blessing Procession.  As the procession passes by the Bishop, he blesses them and the work that they do.

Specific seats are reserved for the "families with roses."  A
section of seats will be reserved for the total number of
people to be in the procession.  (The number of sections saved for the
procession is based upon the telephone, E-mail and mail responses.)
The order in the procession will be on a first-come basis. When a
representative from each group arrives, they check at the table in front
of the seats for the members of the procession to receive a number.
The number will represent their order in the procession.  That
representative then may save the seats for his/her group.  Some groups
will be in both the Grand Procession and the Procession of Our Lady of
Guadalupe that follows the Grand Blessing Procession.  The Our Lady
of Guadalupe Procession will consist of those carrying large rosaries on
their shoulders.  All participants for the Grand Procession should arrive
at Phoenix Civic Plaza by 1:15 P.M.   For any questions, click here.

The Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe

Day of Adoration
Jan 23
The Rosary of the Virgin Mary... is a prayer loved by countless Saints and encouraged by the Magisterium. Simple yet profound, it still remains, at the dawn of this third millennium, a prayer of great significance, destined to bring forth a harvest of holiness. It blends easily into the spiritual journey of the Christian life, which, after two thousand years, has lost none of the freshness of its beginnings...  Pope John Paul II

Planning for Rosary Sunday 2005
WHAT IS THE ROSARY?

The Rosary is a combination of vocal prayers (the Our Fathers & Hail Marys) and of mental prayer--the  reflection on important events in the life of Christ and His Mother.

WHY PRAY THE ROSARY?

It is Our Lady's favorite prayer.

St. Peter Julian Eymard explained, she (Mary) is the first and most perfect
adorer of the Lord. Even in modernity, sacred authors write of her great role in bringing us the Bread of Life . . .. Truly in the Holy Eucharist and the Holy Rosary we have the 'weapons' to bring peace to the world.

Our Lady of Guadalupe and Adoration go together.

The only thing that Our Lady asked at Guadaulpe was that a church be built so that we could pray to her Son in His Church.--she brings us to Jesus.
MISSIONARY IMAGE OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE

Over the past few years when the Missionary Image Of Our Lady of Guadalupe has come to the Phoenix area, we have witnessed many things.

MANY people smell roses. MOST people feel a peacefulness that they have not felt before.
People of all ages often feel the heartbeat of Mary and of Baby Jesus.

In one parish, two years in a row, different people notice a white dove in the sky.
At one of the prisons here, The Missionary Image had a teardrop on her cheek and one on her knee. Over 30 people witnessed it.

One person said, "When I touched our Mother of Guadalupe, I felt a great tenderness in my heart and when I turn my eyes to her I felt I needed to forgive completely everybody that has offended me.  At this moment, I felt her womb moving."

In 2004, we went to most of the Catholic high schools in the valley.  At many of the schools the aroma of roses was very prevalent.

"I touched her heart and asked her to give us strength to lead our lives the way God meant it to be.  My son said when he touched her heart he felt a shock go up to his heart.  When I thought about it, I said to myself he is innocent and has a great love for Our Blessed Mary and maybe he really did feel something."

"The minute I entered the chapel the aroma of roses hung sweetly in the air.  As I placed my hand on her womb, the heartbeat caused by hand to tremble slightly."

"I have been searching for a way back to my religion and faith and found it today the moment I walked in the door and saw the beautiful picture of Our Lady.  I love you Blessed Mother."
------------------------------------------------------------------------
It should be noted: Not everyone, everytime will smell the roses or feel the heartbeat.  This is a blessing from Our Lord.  He chooses when He wants to give us His blessings and how.  The person who does not receive a blessing at the moment the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is viewed and touched may receive a blessing later.
